Bid Management on Yahoo Sponsored Search
Yahoo Sponsored Search is a unique search engine that allows you to create
an ad for a particular keyword/keyphrase and bid on your desired position for
your ad. This is a continuous auction in which the rankings for keyword/keyphrase
searches are updated in real time as companies increase and decrease their bids.
Your Yahoo Sponsored Search ad will appear on search engines including Yahoo
and MSN.
For example, suppose you owned a men's clothing store and you wanted to be
found when someone searches for the phrase "mens pants". Currently
(as of this writing), the top three bids for this phrase are at $0.58, $0.57
and $0.56. The company that bid $0.58 is in the #1 position. The company that
bid $0.57 is in the #2 position and the company that bid $0.56 is in the #3
position.
Your ads will appear in a blue shaded box labeled "SPONSOR
RESULTS" on Yahoo and in a shaded green box as "SPONSORED
SITES" on MSN.
